TL;DR: IPv6 is faster than IPv4 ~39% of the time (locally anyway!). To answer this question we decided to look at anonymized data we had collected from a range of monitoring agents over a 30 day period. For simplicity, the data used only focused on the client’s RTT (Round Trip Time) to their default gateway.
TL;DR: IPv6 and IPv6 DNS often stops working on residential home routers. This can manifest in strange outages especially when your browser or computer continues to try using IPv6. Spot when this happens and fix it quickly by monitoring your IPv6 connectivity.
TL;DR: From hundreds of thousands of data points, MCS (Modulation Coding Scheme) would seem not to correlate with latency. The question of latency and Wi-Fi intrigues me (especially for MCS indices of 4 and below). You may jump to conclusions and holler “it depends”, but does it?
